MW Social Tools: Data Deletion Instructions

MW Social Tools is an internal tool MW Sound LLC uses to manage its own Instagram account (@mattwolachmix). It may store copies of comments, mentions, and direct messages that people send to that account. See our privacy policy: https://mattwolachmix.com/social-tools/privacy.

How to request deletion

1. Email matt@mattwolachmix.com with the subject "Data deletion request".
2. Include your Instagram username. We may ask you to confirm the request from that Instagram account, for example by sending a DM, so we know the request is really from you.
3. We send a confirmation with a reference number within 7 days and delete the data within 30 days. When the deletion is done, we confirm by email.

What gets deleted

All data the tool holds about you: copies of your comments, mentions, and messages, your username, and your Instagram-scoped ID, from the tool's storage and logs.

Not affected: content on Instagram itself. Your comments and messages stay on Instagram until you delete them there, under Instagram's own policies. You can also delete or unsend them directly in Instagram.

If we have to keep anything for legal reasons (for example, records required by law), we will tell you what we kept and why.

If you connected an account to the tool

If you logged in to MW Social Tools with your Instagram account, you can remove its access at any time in Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → MW Social Tools → Remove. You can also email us using the steps above to have all related data deleted.
