How to send stems.

Three rules. Follow them and we start mixing the day your files land — not a week later.

  1. 01

    Screenshot your master bus first.

Before you print a single stem, send me screenshots of your master bus chain — every plugin, every setting. I want to see exactly what you were hearing.

  2. 02

Print stems with the master bus bypassed.

Take the master bus fully out of the chain. Your group and bus processing stays — solo each stem through its group so the sound prints. Only the master bus goes.

  3. 03

    Wet and dry, every stem.

That delay throw you love gets its own track — and the dry vocal right beside it. I want to hear exactly what you heard.

Group processing

Keep the groups.
Lose the master.

Your drum bus, vocal chain, instrument groups — that processing is part of the record. Print each stem through it, or show me the settings and I’ll rebuild it here.

Pro Tools

Solo-safe the group aux (⌘-click its Solo button), solo the source track, then bounce with the master chain bypassed. Or Commit the track.

Logic Pro

Solo the track — its bus aux stays live in the path. Bounce the section with the master bus bypassed.

Ableton Live

Solo the track inside its Group — the Group chain stays in the path. Export with the master chain bypassed.

FL Studio

In the mixer, solo the source track and its bus together, then export with the master chain bypassed.

Studio One

Solo the track and use Export Stems with bus effects on — or Export Mixdown with the master bypassed.

Cubase / Nuendo

Render in Place with “Complete Signal Path” so group processing prints. The master bus stays out.

Any other DAW

Solo the sound, keep every group and bus in the path, bypass only the master bus. Or screenshot every plugin on the group chain, front to back — that’s just as good.

Rather send screenshots?

Totally fine. Capture every plugin on each group chain with the settings visible, and I’ll rebuild it here myself.

Get started

Ready when your stems are.

Follow the three rules above, then send the record — private link, notes, references, and your release timeline.
